Becoming a level judge
You must make a review, send it to one of the admins, become a judge and then never review any level until you get demoted.
Below is a list of level guidelines that you must base your review on. Failure to do so will result in demotion.
Below is a list of level guidelines that you must base your review on. Failure to do so will result in demotion.
- The level must have custom graphics. If a level does not contain custom graphics in it then it's not worth your time.
- Absolutely no graphics that don't belong to Smb3. Graphics belonging to any other style have to be immediately purged from the levels section.
- Unless the creator’s nickname is reghrhre, Chad, Kyo or Zephyr, you should only review the screenshots provided in the creator’s post and not the level as a whole.
- If the creator of the level does not have one of the nicks aforementioned, you should only review the level’s screenshots.
- If the creator’s nickname is one of the aforementioned nicks, the level must receive a perfect score of 10/10, regardless of how good the level actually is.
- If the level lacks switch block puzzles, then it is a waste of your time and does NOT deserve a good score. Switch block puzzles are famous for giving the reviewer the impression that the level is long and non-linear. Levels with switch block puzzles are considered non-linear and must receive a high score. If the level lacks switch block puzzles then it is linear and must be deleted immediately.
- Hard levels must receive a low score. This is a level judge tradition so you better respect it.
- The level must be tediously long and very non-linear. Short or medium-length levels must receive a low score.
- You must give a rating ranging from 0 to 10, 20 or 100. You can also use the reviewing star emoticons provided by the forum system.
- You absolutely must review the level’s graphics without rating the actual gameplay as it has no relevance whatsoever. Graphics, being the most important factor in a level, must be reviewed painstakingly.
- If the creator of the level is a moderator or administrator, then you must give it a high score.
Retaining your position
Now that you've earned your Level Judge position and an admin threatens to demote you, promise them that you’ll be more active, post a single review and then become inactive again for a few months, rinse and repeat. Have fun being respected.
